The term “masking” often referred to isolating the specific objects from an image using the ‘Erase’ or ‘Extract’ tools. Although there are some plugins available in Adobe Photoshop to make the masking easier, isolating specific objects from a photo can be very time consuming and exhausting too. We, the Clipping Path Family, usually isolate objects from images using a clipping path. But if needed, we also create and use an alpha channel or masks too!

Actually there are two basic differences between isolating image objects using so called ‘image masking’ and using our preferable clipping path. The very first difference between these two is masking removes the pixel whereas clipping path is vector based. The second difference is isolating objects from an image using masking allows transparency on that object whereas isolating images using clipping path often lag behind. This feature of masking is often helpful when an image has objects like grass or hair.

Using Clipping Mask:

Masking technique is recommended to use for isolating images when it is difficult to identify which is part of photo background and which is subject of photo. With masking, it is possible to remove the background based on the actual pixel present, making some part of the photo transparent. That’s why a glass remains a glass even if one places it on a totally different background.

Using Alpha Channel:

Like masking, Alpha channel can also be used for isolating images. Alpha channel method is also pixel based as like clipping mask method, but here the using technique is different. When isolating images using alpha channel, one needs to create an additional channel in order to capture the shape of the specific object instead of colour. This alpha channel method is also used to isolate an image with a lot of detail. As like clipping path method, this alpha channel can be selected in Quark, Photoshop or Indesign.

Can Clipping Path Family Create a Clipping Mask or an Alpha Channel:

We mainly isolate images from their background using clipping path. But if needed and advisable, we also create a clipping mask or an alpha channel for isolating objects. Most importantly, we let our honorable clients decide which technique they would like Clipping Path Family to use.

A clipping path is basically a vectorized shape which is used in Photoshop to separate subject of an image from its background. Yap, it’s true that there are a wide range of options available for isolating an image object from its background, but at Clipping Path Family we always prefer using handmade clipping paths to any other options. We always prefer making manual clipping path because a clipping path is least sensitive to errors and results in a nice edge. In addition, a clipping path works really great with some other photo editing applications like Illustrator, Quark and Indesign. We, at Clipping Path Family, always employ specific methods while making clipping path in particular images.

How to Draw Clipping Path:

In order to create a path, you at first have to open the Path Window. In case you are a beginner user and don’t find the Path Window, go to the “Windows” menu at the top bar of your Photoshop and select “Path”

Then choose “New Path” option from the top right of your chosen Path Window.

Now select the Pen Tool from the Photoshop toolbar.

At this stage, you have to start the path from several pixels inside by zooming in to the image object and then click.

Now place another anchor point inside the image object to create a line. The line can be shaped like curve simply by holding the mouse button pulling the anchor point. In case you want to create a straight cornet at the anchor point, just hold the ALT button from your keyboard after placing the anchor point.

And the path is completed. To create another path, repeat the same process from the beginning.

At Clipping Path Family, we usually do layer masking before delivering images to our clients in order to preserve the original background if the image format supports.

Converting a Clipping Path into a Layer Mask:

If you want to convert a clipping path into a layer mask and follow the given instructions:

Go to the “Path Window” and choose the “Path to Selection” option from the bottom of the window

Then you have to expand the selection by two pixels. For this, choose “Select” from the top bar and click on “Modify” and then “Expand”

At this final stage, select the correct layer and choose the “Selection to layer mask” option at the bottom of the window.

Image transparency is the common question nowadays as am I going to get clear shape of my image? Although the query is typical then what service or tools you should use for those. The most crucial fact is, expert suggests using Photoshop clipping path for making the image clear.

In Photoshop, there are more services available but people love to use this. Clipping path does have lots of services and there is good news for you that clipping path does not use lots of tools like other. To make any image transparent, it has best effort as manual work is best rather than other facts.

Why should choose the clipping path service for making image transparent?

It gives best effort for cutting background object and making the image clear.

Opt out best possible place though the major fact but it does manually and with best care

Clipping path can change the color of portrait for providing best quality and the other important fact is it offers natural quality photo where you wouldn’t find such types of services

Clipping path can enter into the hidden corner for making the picture supreme actually.

To make the image transparent it uses its advanced modern technology where it is totally absent.

The other typical features of clipping path is that it efforts it best for providing what you actually need to in the portrait.

If you find the lots of benefits in the Photoshop clipping path for making the image transparent then you should not choose the best service for your photo editing world. But simultaneously you also need to remember that in spite of having ample company and service provider, you will have to find the exact company for doing so.

To make your image crystal clear you use this of course but can also use the premium thing for another benefit. But remember in Photoshop clipping path doesn’t follow any quick method for making the image transparent and yes you got to wait for some days for doing so. Then follow the instruction what expert say about clipping path for your background and make the image transparent.

While working with Adobe Photoshop, you might often require opening multiple paths in order to complete a set of actions. If you know how to create a single path, it will be much easier for you to create new paths when needed. True to say, beginning a new path usually takes less than a minute. Most importantly, creating multiple paths allows users to perform a number of tasks simultaneously on several different parts of an image.

In this post, I am going to share a step by step guide on how can you easily create multiple paths in Photoshop.

Step 1: At first, you need to open the image file for which you want to create multiple paths in Adobe Photoshop.

Step 2: Now go to Photoshop toolbar and right click over the pen icon.

Step 3: Then you need to select the “Pen Tool” from the drop-down menu which will appear after you click the right mouse button.

Step 4: Now find the “Path” icon on the Photoshop toolbar which appears on the top of the Photoshop file window and click on this icon.

Step 5: At this stage, you have to draw the first path. To do this, click on the file’s canvas wherever you want a path anchor point to fall. In order to create a closed shape, after placing the final anchor point, you need to select the first anchor point that you made earlier to close the path.

Step 6: Now find out the path palette window on your computer screen. If you can’t find it, you don’t have to worry because there is another alternative option too. In case if you can’t find the path palette window, go to “Window” option which is located on the navigation bar at the top of the Photoshop window and then select “Path” from the drop-down menu.

Step 7: In this stage, you need to select the path which you just have completed from the path palette and then drag it to the “New Path” icon which is located at the bottom of your computer screen. This “New Path” icon will appear as a square box with lower left corner turned up. In order to save the newly created path, just release the mouse button.

Step 8: If you need to create multiple paths, just repeat the steps from three to seven to create your required number of paths. Isn’t it simple!!

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you face any problem while creating multiple paths, feel free to ask me via the contact box below. If you can’t apply the steps by yourself; then hire clipping path service providing company out there.

The demand for clipping path services is growing high in photo industries every day. Clipping Path Family is a worldwide company providing all clipping path services you need…

What is Clipping Path?

A Clipping path or deep etch is an enclosed vectorized shape or path that is used to isolate a 2D or 3D image from its background using image editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator etc). Everything within the closed path is included and everything outside the closed path is omitted or discarded in the output once the clipping is done. The output quality highly depends on image editors’ capabilities. Traditionally, the inside portion of the outline is decided by its direction. The inside or outside components are reversed if the path direction is reversed.

The main use of clipping path is to cut out objects from their backgrounds in photographs. Clipping path is also applicable in different ways like editing particular portions in images, giving specific shapes to objects, or preparing layout designs.

Clipping Path Services

The demand for clipping path services is growing high in photo industries every day. Professionals like graphic designers, digital photographers, web design houses, catalogue companies, advertising agencies and many others are the main clientele of this service. As the DTP professionals in America or Europe works at very high rates, it is very tough to afford those services. Clipping Path Family has brought you the solution by outsourcing clipping path services all around the world.

There are many alternatives of implementing clipping path technique, but Clipping Path Family (CPF) prefers to apply the handmade process only. CPF’s clipping paths are made keeping minimum anchor points and maximum pixels inside the object, following natural curves, delivering image with layer masks (if original format of image allows) and delivering output on white or transparent background.

Clipping Path Family is a worldwide company providing all services of clipping paths including – image manipulation, background drop out, photo retouching, photo editing, old photo restoration, image cropping and resizing, photo masking and color masking and many other services. CPF professionals never use automated tools (e.g. Magic Wand) for clipping path; rather they do the jobs manually using Adobe Photoshop Pen Tools.

Clipping Path Family assures 100% security of your images. We never use our customers’ images and we never share or sell those images to third parties.
